Joseph R. Parish and the dropped Motorcycle

Compiled by Joseph Parish

While in the military I raced motorcycles during my off duty time and being stationed in New Mexico it was a prefect combination. The terrain was just right for such a sport and the weather complimented the bike riding.

It was a nice day for practicing motorcycle racing and so my wife Pam drove our 1969 charger to the track and I rode my Kawasaki 250 dirt bike there.

Upon our arrival I immediately ran several laps around the dirt bike course and then took a short rest. As I looked around I could see Pam up on the top of the hill with the Charger and then a thought hit me.

It was fun time.

Once again I took the 250 and began to take a few more laps around the track only as soon as I was in complete view of the hill where Pam was at I deliberately dropped the bike. Normally I would get up and dust myself off and get back on the seat and that would be the end of it only this time I was out for fun. I lay there completely silent without moving in the least however I could see what was happening on the hill.

After a short wait I noticed Pam jumping in the Charger and quickly driving down from the hill to where I was located.

When she arrived I was laying there laughing which didn't make her none too happy.
